Making Fun Christmas Garland
In December I like to fill our days with fun Christmas preparations. We decorate the tree, make cookies, watch Christmas movies, listen to Christmas music and attempt Christmas themed crafts (see more ideas on making December memories here). I kept seeing garland made with colored felt/wool balls. Sure I could buy a strand but that would take most of the fun away so I bought a bunch of colored wool balls. The kids LOVED them and I see us getting more for other holidays in the near future. I purchased the red, lime green, forest green, and white from Gracie and Marie on Etsy.
The kids put the balls in a pattern as I used a needle to string them onto thread. You can string them on so they are side by side touching or space them out. Each ball is about an inch in diameter and I bought 50 balls (my 4-year-old claimed 10). I spaced mine out and it made roughly a 6-foot garland.
We loved doing this together and will definitely use this fun garland to make our space more colorful and festive!
